Soul Level Human
From Hustling for Worth to Learning to Trust: On Courage, Spirit Work & Showing Up Before You’re Ready
What if the very things you're treating as optional—meditation, grounding, spiritual connection—aren't luxuries at all, but necessities as fundamental as putting gas in your car? This powerful episode challenges us to reconsider how we prioritize our spiritual nourishment in challenging times.
When political instability, economic uncertainty, and global unrest leave us feeling overwhelmed, our natural tendency is to hustle harder or retreat entirely. Yet these chaotic times are precisely when we most need to show up as our most powerful, heart-led, and courageous selves. The world has never needed people in their power more than now.
Drawing on wisdom from recent conversations with Nikki Boyer, Jenny Finley, and Grace Chon, Sylvia reveals how being seen in your mess, your transition, your "I don't know" moments isn't weakness—it's your soul calling you forward with courage. Through beautiful metaphors like a choir where everyone has their unique part to sing, we discover that each of us has our own contribution to make, our own "activation code" for creating change.
This isn't about saving the entire world—that's ego talking. It's about playing your unique role fully, building trust with the universe through small daily interactions, and discovering that making an impact doesn't require the exhausting hustle we've been conditioned to believe in. From practical tips to understanding how courage is built through small brave actions, this episode offers a roadmap for showing up authentically in a world that desperately needs your unique light.
Remember: You are the chosen one to play this role, at this time, in this body. How will you choose to play it?

Next up on Soul Level Human. Filling up your car with gas is not a luxury, right? So why do we treat ourselves as if? Taking the time for ourselves to connect to spirit, fill up, do the meditation, do the grounding why are we treating that like a luxury? It's not. It's non-negotiable, especially in times like these, when we need you at the most powerful, most heart-led, most courageous, most passionate that you've ever been.
Speaker 1:You didn't come here to play safe. You came to remember your power and build what comes next. I'm Sylvia Beatriz, psychic medium and intuition coach, and this is Soul Level Human the podcast for truth-tellers, cycle breakers and soul-led revolutionaries. You didn't come here to bypass the chaos. You came here to lead through it. What if the thing you've been avoiding grief, visibility, pain, being seen while you fall flat on your face is actually the exact thing that holds your next evolution? Over the last few weeks, I've sat down with three incredible women Nikki Boyer, Jenny Finley and Grace Chan and while their stories are wildly different, they each cracked open the same truth for me Each of them had an invitation to be courageous, to be themselves, to be seen as a little weird or out there to make choices that didn't fully make sense on paper, to bring up topics they were maybe a little afraid to talk about. If you've been waiting to feel ready to feel more courageous, let this be your sign, your invitation. This is your time, your life path. Your soul has always been inviting you to play a bigger game, and these conversations reminded me that being seen in the mess, in the transition, in the I don't know, is not a weakness. That is your soul leading you, calling you forward, and you're human, responding with total courage, willing to learn how to trust. And that's a really big deal.
Speaker 1:Let's get into it, Okay, May, December is so real, everybody. It is absolutely insane. We have a couple more weeks left of school and I have to go in literally 25 minutes to go get my kids. Yeah, we're just going with it, we're going with it. So here's the deal With every single part of my life, with these interviews that I've been doing with my personal life.
Speaker 1:Right now, the lesson is so clear. What is it going to take for you to actually step into your courage and do the thing that you came here to do? Because not everybody is doing it and there's many, many totally valid reasons. Why not right the political instability? Why not right? The political instability, the uncertain job market, global unrest, and I would argue, actually, that all of those reasons are exactly the fuel that you need to actually do the thing. The world has never needed people to be in their power and in their light more.
Speaker 1:This is the time that we've been preparing for, and I want to make it clear that everybody listening has their own job to do. My guides often show it to me like being in a choir. When you're in a choir, everybody has their own parts, their own notes to sing. Right. When you're in a choir, you also learn. These are the spots you take a breath, these are the line breaks in the music.
Speaker 1:If you run out of air, don't keep singing. It's really fascinating, but in practice, what that looks like is getting quiet, Every single one of us having the chance, creating the space to get quiet. Fill ourselves up with energy, choosing our intention, and then, as soon as we're ready, filled up, we take the action we're led to do, Because many of us aren't living this way. We're running around like a chicken with our head cut off and putting out fires literal and figurative fires everywhere, trying to just keep up, and it's absolutely insane If there's no grounding, if there's no connecting, if there's no filling up, you will absolutely burn out. It's math Filling up your car with gas is not luxury, right? So why do we treat ourselves as if taking the time for ourselves to connect to spirit, fill up, do the meditation, do the grounding? Why are we treating that like a luxury? It's not. It's non-negotiable, especially in times like these when we need you at the most powerful, most heart-led, most courageous, most passionate that you've ever been.
Speaker 1:This time that we're living in this is not a sprint. This is a marathon, and even marathon training. We learn how to nourish ourselves in order to avoid injury, so that we have the stamina for the entire journey. You can absolutely do everything, but how you choose to care for yourself through it and what you prioritize will determine at what cost and how quickly and how effectively you move through. All of these choices are rooted in our concept of self and what we're truly here to do, Our understanding of what our soul is if we're connected to it at all and what we're truly here to do as a soul having a human experience. If we all have our own jobs to do, then that means that we can still be aware we can still stay informed of everything happening, but we have to use our own power and our own discernment in order to determine what happens next, where our attention goes and where our action goes.
Speaker 1:If we're just doom scrolling all the time, if we are flooding ourselves with stress hormones and not doing anything about it, that's not it. You're not helping yourself and you're not helping the collective. What's needed is for your heart to actually break open to the utmost compassion for yourself and for every single other being on this planet. That's the first step. That's how the light finally gets in. Feel all the feelings, feel the grief, feel the rage, feel the terror, feel all of it. And then you have a choice. What are you going to do and from what energy are you going to do it? Are you going to do it by working with spirit behind the scenes? Are you going to partner with everybody who is in spirit, who has experienced suffering, who knows exactly what is so scary and heartbreaking? Can you live in service and in honor of all of those in non-physical who are rooting you on to use your time, use your body, use your physical wisely, powerfully? This can be oh my gosh, I'm getting hot flashes. Right now. This can be your opportunity to step into your soul's impact, or you can live as a human, in total overwhelm, disconnection, rage and fear and just stay at home and don't do anything. You have a choice. Everyone does.
Speaker 1:Over the past week, in several instances, I've been shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that every single one of us is given our own little tiny activation code, our own understanding of how things work and the way that we show up to that work, whether it's through art, through song, through activism, through fundraising, through teaching, through parenting, through any flavor, any flavor of what you're purpose. Your soul is called here to do right now, in this moment, because it's different again for everybody, every single one of us. If we just show up and do our part, it's none of our business where the effect of that goes. If we are in the moment, showing up with love and presence, with conviction, with courage, that experience, that energy will absolutely reach who it needs to reach at the exact right time. You're listening to this now.
Speaker 1:I'm recording this now, Friday, May 30th, at 1149 AM. That's not when you're listening to this. Not every single person listening to this is even listening at the same time. This is coming into your ears at the exact right time for you and because of the way we've all grown up in a capitalistic society, we've been taught that in order to earn any kind of love, support, care, rest, joy, money, we've been taught that we have to hustle and try and effort and prove that we're worthy, that we've done enough. And I want to present to you a really loud lesson that just came in for me this week.
Speaker 1:Where in your life do you think that you trying to solve all the problems for everyone in your own personal life and in the world? Where are you acting out of hustle and trying to prove, thinking that that will finally get the universe to support you, to change the world in some way? What if this is your opportunity to realize that, just because you've been taught that hustling, that trying and efforting would be enough to earn you some crumbs that you're supposed to be grateful for? What if this is your opportunity to flip it on its head a little bit? What if you don't need to do that? What if you working with the universe is just a thought and intention away? What if you? Simply listening to this podcast and opening some space to that awareness is enough of an invitation to say I'm ready to start to trust, I'm ready to start to see things in a different way and because of you simply showing up and opening the door, your spirit team, the energy, the universe, love God, whatever words you use has the opportunity to meet you halfway.
Speaker 1:It doesn't have to be human hard to have an impact and to make change in the world, unless that's where you want to live Absolutely. You absolutely have a choice to stay in hustle world. I've been there for years. It sucks. I don't want to live that way because I know a better way. I know a different way, a more powerful way, a faster way, a way that's full of so much more love and connection that you couldn't possibly even imagine, and it's so magical and fun. Things just fall into my lap without me trying and worrying about it, and every single time I get into the control and the worry and the fear, everything feels hard and things are overwhelming and it sucks. And then I realized, oh wait, I can actually do it a different way. And then things start moving really quickly again. It works, it is. It's just energy.
Speaker 1:So, in the words of the great Dr Brené Brown in her talk the Anatomy of Trust. She talks about how trust requires consistency over time and that's built through interactions over and over and over again. By doing things this way, you don't have to go out all of a sudden and quit your job on day one and say, universe, catch me. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about learning to trust yourself and the universe in small interactions, low stakes ways. Universe, can you show me a feather today? I would like to see a feather. And learning how to release that request without any attachment to it and being open to allowing the feedback to come back. That's the game. It's not running around looking for a feather and making it work, and it's also not all right. Universe, prove it, you asshole. I mean. I'm sure, for somebody somewhere out there it probably is, but it's not as fun doing it that way, is it? And by controlling everything so much, you're also not going to have as much fun in the anticipation and the wonder of oh, how is the universe going to surprise me today? So that's just one little game that I like to play in the very beginning stages of building up that trust muscle and, in terms of practical application, taking small steps to prove to yourself that you are courageous, that you can do hard things, is so important.
Speaker 1:My 10-year-old is going to be in the Little Mermaid this weekend and she's been in rehearsals for months and, if you've been listening at all, I majored in theater at USC. My husband is a 20-year actor years ago now, but we both have a background in this and in order to be seen, it takes a lot of courage. In order to be seen as a villain Ava's playing Ursula to be seen as a villain Ava's playing Ursula For a good little girl, that's taking a lot of courage. To be extra, to be bigger than big, to be evil and dramatic that takes so much courage, especially at 10 years old, and she did have a time when she was like, oh my gosh, mama, can I just quit? I don't want to do this play anymore. It's really scary. I don't want to do it. Yeah and no. No, you can't just quit. You've made a commitment. These people are counting on you to put on a show and the point of this is to have fun anyway.
Speaker 1:And yeah, you might forget your lines. You might fall down on stage. That might happen, but what happens after? That is the experience that's so important. If you forget your line on stage, you can say line and somebody will be there to give you the line because you're 10 years old, it's okay. If you fall down, how can you use that with your character? How can you stand back up and keep going?
Speaker 1:And the more experiences you have like that, where you do mess up, where you do fall flat on your face and somebody who says something or watches you or the worst case scenario happens and somebody who says something or watches you or the worst case scenario happens, having experiences like that in controlled environments, is the thing, over and over, that will build your trust muscle, not only for yourself but also for the universe. Catching you in the actions of other people, how others show up in surprising ways and I know if you're listening to this, you've probably had experiences in your own life when you're just down for the count and maybe some people show up for you in ways that you could not have possibly expected or controlled into existence. That is one flavor of developing that trust muscle having life happen and seeing what happens next. So, just like in a choir, just like in a play, you have your own part to play and it's up to you to play it full out, leaving everything on the stage and letting whatever is going to happen next happen, but knowing, or developing the knowing, that you will do something next, that somebody will be there for you, that you'll be able to figure it out, and that takes so much courage. To be literally seen in the mess in the moment, that takes so much courage. And, at the end of the day, it's not about the song you're singing in the choir and it's not the part you're playing in the play, and it's not even about the play. It's about you and it's about showing up.
Speaker 1:So, coming back to the episodes that we've had so far, we've had Grace, who's the first generation to be able to have a creative and successful career. We have Jenny, who is talking about living in a time the first generation of women where you're able to have a successful career and business. You can be a business owner if you want to. You can have the problem of figuring out how to manage motherhood and business, or have the conversation of what gender roles look like. Can we even throw them out and start over? Throw them out and start over? And we have Nikki, whose first calling was to show up and be present with her best friend who was dying, and now it's turned into a global reach of love and friendship and what it means to truly live. And she's also actively working with her best friend on the other side. And all of these are examples of what it really looks like to be a soul level human.
Speaker 1:What does it look like to just live with this awareness that this thing isn't forever, that just by being here you're making a difference in somebody's life and you won't even know how or why, necessarily till way later, till you're on your way out probably? And I hope this awareness is also able to take some pressure off already. Right, you don't have to save the world. It's not your job to save the entire world. That's ego.
Speaker 1:Again, I'm hearing so much of the narrative on TikTok about the chosen one, that you're the chosen one, and I got that transmission like a year ago. Yes, it's the chosen one to be you. It's not the chosen one that this world would have no hope if you weren't here. That's not it. It's more that you are the chosen one to play this role at this time in this body. And how are you going to choose to play it? Are you going to maybe not memorize your lines or show up half-assed and say, well, I didn't try. So if I fail it's not a big deal.
Speaker 1:If all the world is a stage and we are all merely players this play is not forever. But how we play it is a choice. And if every single person in this play is playing full out choice, and if every single person in this play is playing full out in character, making courageous choices and working together telepathically, I mean, if you've ever been on stage, then you know that there are looks out of the corner of your eye that connect and communicate volumes across the stage. This is actually real In real life. This is happening too. So I hope this episode finds you in a place where you're ready to feel a little bit more courage than before, Ready to step one foot in the direction of where you know you're being led. But it doesn't make sense on paper or it's really outside of your comfort zone. You don't have to jump off a cliff, but you can inch forward and feel your way there.
Speaker 1:So, with love, how can you be brave today? How can you let your soul drive today? What might loving yourself a little bit better today look like? And something that I have my clients and students do when they're in the middle of learning and reprogramming. How to be just a little kinder to themselves is get a picture of yourself, maybe four to seven years old, and put it on your phone screen. Put it in a place where you see it every day, maybe where you brush your teeth and just say hi, hi, little me, I'm going to take care of you today and I'm going to make you proud today. Today, and I'm here for you and I'm listening.
Speaker 1:So take a snapshot of your life. Would that kid be proud of you? Would they feel safe with you? Would they think you're very fun? Would they want to hang out with you? Do something today that makes those answers a yes. And if there's people who aren't here, who you love, who've opened the door for you, Maybe include a picture of them too. Hey, that person is rooting you on. How would that person tell you to be more courageous today? How would they help you take the pressure off a little bit? How would they help you enjoy your life just a little bit? Maybe just have a conversation.
Speaker 1:I'm going to also put a song in the show notes that came through today as something to share with you. It's called Stars and it's just a little comfort tune. I hope that brings you a little bit more levity and joy today, and just a reminder that it is dark in a lot of ways, but there is so much light. You are here, I'm here, there's millions of other people just like you and me that are here. All is not lost and it's just a matter of showing up. And when you can't show up, let yourself rest and ask for help and receive that help. And being open to receiving whatever that might look like is exactly right too, is exactly right too.
Speaker 1:Thank you so much for tuning in. I'll see you next week. Thank you for listening to Soul Level Human. If this episode moved something in you, share it. Text it to a friend, post to your stories. The Soul Level Revolution spreads one brave human at a time and your voice makes a difference.
