Navigating the Uncertain: Finding Your Inner Compass When the Map Won't Load
Support Psychic Ashley’s daughter
The chaos surrounding us isn't a reason to stop moving forward—it's our cue to activate our inner compass and remember our power. When conventional maps fail and familiar systems break down, we must learn to navigate with our intuition while staying grounded in discernment.
• Developing discernment is crucial in confusing times—those who think they're "too smart" to be manipulated are often the most vulnerable
• Our current reality feels like driving in an unfamiliar city with broken GPS, non-functioning streetlights, and all radio stations blaring at once
• Intuitive guidance typically comes as simple, specific directions without emotional drama, unlike anxiety which creates elaborate fear-based narratives
• No matter our spiritual advancement, we remain human—spiritual awareness doesn't exempt us from vulnerability or death
• When feeling disconnected from intuition, we may be "benched" because our physical/emotional needs require attention first
• Global connection through shared experiences strengthens our collective resilience against forces trying to divide us
• Taking even one action step can break through stagnation and create movement when feeling spiritually stuck

Next up on Soul Level, human, the most dangerous thought is that you are exempt. You are too smart to fall for a cult. Those are the most susceptible people. So as long as you know that it's easy to be manipulated and it's easy to fall into traps that you can't see, then you'll still have your guard up and you'll protect your own discernment with everything you've got. No matter how good of a psychic you are, how good of a person you are, how perfectly you live, you will never outrun death. You will never not be human.
Speaker 1:When we're driving in a city we've never been before we feel okay because we have a map, we have our cell phones, we have the sun, we have our understanding of directions and how streetlights work because they work properly. But in our world right now our maps aren't quite loading. The streetlights are down. We've never been here before. It's very disorienting and on top of that it feels like all the radio stations are on at full blast all the time. We are fried and it makes sense to just want to pull over and stop driving, but we're not home yet, so we have to keep going. People give their power away so quickly to psychics and mediums that they go see. Well, should I call him back? Should I take this job? Should I move? How about see what feels good for you? Because that psychic doesn't have to go home and live your life. That psychic moves on with their day. You didn't come here to play safe. You came to remember your power and build what comes next. I'm Sylvia Beatriz, psychic medium and intuition coach, and this is Soul Level Human the podcast for truth-tellers, cycle-breakers and soul-led revolutionaries. You didn't come here to bypass the chaos. You came here to lead through it. Well, I'm a mom with two kids out for summer. So it's almost two o'clock in the morning on Saturday and this podcast comes out tomorrow. So I love you. You're welcome. Okay, let's get started.
Speaker 1:About six years ago, in meditation, I felt a presence come into my space, had my eyes closed. It even made me open my eyes. I felt it. It was very visceral physically and I asked who it was. And I received a flash of a letter K and I couldn't think of anybody I knew whose name started with a letter K, so I asked again can you give me something else? And then a picture of a panda flashed in my face. Well, third eye right, but you get it. The panda is my high school mascot and I knew a girl named Kelly who had recently passed away, but we'd lost touch long before, and I told her I was listening and she brought me back to a moment in high school.
Speaker 1:We were in a play together called Sweet Charity and we were supposed to come out dancing in a certain spot, but I kept missing my cue by like a half a count. And she was behind me and our solution was that she would push me out about a half a count before so that I would start on time and our group would be where we were supposed to be when we were supposed to be there. The song was Rhythm of Life, and back then she pushed me not to miss my cue. And now she was still pushing me, but this time it was to fully live, to let myself be seen, to just do the damn thing right. And in that moment I felt her, that push on my back. I keep saying this year, the chaos is your cue. The chaos is your cue, it's 2025. The chaos is your cue.
Speaker 1:And tonight, as I sat down to record your cue, and tonight as I sat down to record, I feel her with me now, wanting me to share that story, the push on my back this is your cue and then the song lyrics to feel the rhythm of life, to feel the powerful beat, to feel the tingle in your fingers, to feel the tingle in your feet. And, first of all, that song was very psychedelic. I didn't really understand it at the time, but now when I teach about energy, I talk about being able to feel the tingles in your body, that, as you focus your attention, you focus your energy and you can direct your energy to the point where you feel waves of heat and tingles as you work with it. It's life force, it's presence, it's power and it means you're still here. It means you still have a chance to do the things you came to do to explore, to learn, to grow, to create, to connect. And tonight that message is coming in so strongly as the thing that's meant to be shared right now. It's the urgency Go now. It's time. Right now there's no more time to hit the snooze button on ourselves or to ignore our calling the problems that we were put here to solve.
Speaker 1:And before, maybe 2019, or even last year, when many of us thought this was going to go a different way, at least we had the illusion of comfort and safety and security and the rules made sense, security and the rules made sense. And suddenly the illusions are gone and we're finding that nothing really makes sense anymore. Like fires in LA at the beginning of the year and now ice in LA, like the city of fire and ice. We've been in the trenches all year and we're almost in August. In the trenches all year and we're almost in August. It's wild. So what do we have now that we can actually count on? We have the people we love, we have the world around us, we have what's on our heart to share or create. And if we're lucky, if we've had our awakening before this all of this, then we already have a strong connection to source or spirit and a direct line for understanding and insights. And if not, that's where podcasts like this one come in, but it's also where podcasts that are spirituality to alt-right pipeline come in too.
Speaker 1:So I have such a high standard for discernment and critical thinking and education, historical and social context. It's so important to stay grounded on this path and that's such a missing piece in the conversation, as I've seen it since I started in this whole spiritual journey. It's so important. And so if this is one of your first stops on your path, hallelujah, because no matter where you go from here, you will know that you're driving the bus, not being manipulated to fall into a cult and I've been learning a lot about cults lately as well and the most dangerous thought is that you are exempt. You are too smart to fall for a cult. You are too smart to fall for a cult. Those are the most susceptible people. So as long as you know that it's easy to be manipulated and it's easy to fall into traps that you can't see, then you'll still have your guard up and you'll protect your own discernment with everything you've got. And that's important and that's one of the main things I teach in Lighthouse. That's one of the main reasons I'm doing Lighthouse. I realize how important and crucial and needed it really is right now. So think about it.
Speaker 1:When we're driving in a city we've never been before we feel okay because we have a map, we have our cell phones, we have the sun, we have our understanding of directions and how street lights work, because they work properly. But in our world right now, our maps aren't quite loading. The street lights are down. We've never been here before. It's very disorienting and on top of that, it feels like all the radio stations are on at full blast all the time. We are fried and it makes sense to just want to pull over and stop driving, but we're not home yet, so we have to keep going. So Lighthouse is the key to helping us get our bearings and learn to navigate the new streets with our inner compass. Bearings and learn to navigate the new streets with our inner compass.
Speaker 1:If you've ever watched the Next Karate Kid, mr Miyagi blindfolds Julie, julie-san, so that she can start to feel or sense or hear the bags of flour as they barrel towards her. And at first she keeps getting knocked over by the bags. She's frustrated, she's pissed, it feels impossible, but she learns to get centered and focused and by taking away her vision, she learns to rely more on senses she didn't even know she had. Intuition is the same thing. Julie was always able to see and feel and sense and hear, but when sight was taken away, she was able to zero in on the input that she never focused on before. She never had to rely on it before. She just took it for granted and likely used it in the background, almost by accident. But it's learning to mute some senses, to bring up the dial on the ones you're working on strengthening the ones that you don't normally pay attention to, that are working whether you know it or not. It's learning to focus your attention and energy so specifically and so on purpose that your body begins to remember how to access that state automatically, on purpose, and what happens when we begin to trust that we're equipped to handle whatever comes next, we're able to release anxiety and fear, which is just future, casting your energy out of the present. And I'm not saying to not make plans, I'm not saying to be hedonistic and stop being responsible, but what I am saying is that if we get centered, focused and dialed in with a specific intention in the present, we can choose where to put our energy so that our action in the present is the most effective and useful, even without needing to understand or have context.
Speaker 1:In 2016, my daughter was one one and a half and my husband was in New York for work, and Ava, our daughter, she and I flew out to visit him and his family who lived close by in Pennsylvania, and one morning I remember getting us ready for our day and my grandma, who'd passed away a few years prior, popped in to tell me to put some toilet paper in my back pocket. It made me giggle. It made no sense. I mean, we're in New York, they're not just going to have toilet paper in my back pocket. It made me giggle. It made no sense. I mean, we're in New York, they're not just going to have toilet paper everywhere, whatever. I went the whole day thinking I just made it up that I was just being paranoid and over-prepared, as usual. Well, good thing I listened, because about 15 hours later I was on the bus back to PA with my baby asleep in the carrier and I went to the bathroom only to realize there was no toilet paper and I had exactly what I needed when I needed it, because I listened. That was also the trip. I got to see Hamilton in the front row for $10, because the girl who won the lottery that night had a friend who wasn't going to make it on time and she asked me to be her plus one and we pulled out the last cash we had for the day and it was, all in ones, exactly $10.
Speaker 1:Living this way has shown me such magic like practical magic that saves my actual butt on a daily basis that I don't know how most of us are out here winging it without any backstage access, like thoughts and prayers to you I'm so sorry this is. I don't know how people do it without it and at the same time I know that we're all one, so interconnected that I feel the feeling flavor of people around the world and I know there's nothing special about me, nothing that would make me exempt from the worst of the worst in this world. There's a psychic medium on TikTok who I've followed for a few years that I learned was just killed this week by her boyfriend in a domestic violence shooting, and looking at pictures of her and her 10-year-old on her GoFundMe really hit home. I have a 10-year-old little girl too, and the trauma of that situation a little girl who just lost her mom and there were comments saying well, she must not have been a very good psychic then.
Speaker 1:Making stupid jokes and poking fun is so gross. And I just want to set the record straight no matter how good of a psychic you are, how good of a person you are, how perfectly you live, you will never outrun death. You will never not be human and no matter how much you learn, you'll never know all there is to know about this place and how it works, and as soon as you think you understand it all, you will get humbled very quickly. Who knows what lessons she came here to learn, what her soul contract was, or what her daughter signed up for too. I don't know and it's none of my business, and it really doesn't even matter, because right now there's a little girl who just lost her mom who needs people to show up for her. So I'm going to put a link to the GoFundMe in the show notes and if you feel called to donate, do it with a clear intention and love. But watching this incredible outpouring from the community online, it's apparent how many lives she touched by putting herself out there which takes so much courage, by the way and forming real relationships on and offline, and her last choice in her entire life was to protect her daughter.
Speaker 1:I just have no words for that. The bottom line is we're not meant to have all the information, we're not meant to come here for a perfect experience, and actually we're being fried by people who know that flooding the zone is a deliberate tactic to get us to freeze and stop. But stopping isn't an option. And as the world gets darker, it's getting more important to bring more of ourselves to the situation. If this is a battle between the light and the dark sides of the force, then it's time for our Jedi training.
Speaker 1:And if you're listening to this podcast still right now, I'm talking to you directly. If you weren't feeling the call, you'd never press play on this podcast and you would have stopped listening a long time ago. And what makes me so sure? Because there are clues hidden in plain sight. If you've watched K-pop demon hunters on Netflix, like the rest of the world, then you know what a huge movement it is. Songs have made it to the radio, to EDM clubs across the world, and earlier this year, tiktok users flocked to Red Note to stay connected globally and made friends in China who showed us what freedom actually looks like day to day. I mean, we can argue about what that actually means and the background of everything, but their day-to-day experience healthy, affordable food, time to enjoy life and connect with each other. Technology that feels futuristic but actually just exposes how behind we actually are, yeah, and how kind and curious our connections were.
Speaker 1:As fascism spreads across the world, so is our international drive to be connected to each other and our connection to each other is the most dangerous adversary to the powers that be. Otherwise they wouldn't have any problem letting PBS continue, letting TikTok continue as it was, letting late night show hosts do their job of punching up as it was, letting late night show hosts do their job of punching up. So what does that have to do with K-pop demon hunters, aside from the music upping the vibe and connection all over the world? Just like in the movie, in the story, three K-pop stars are tasked with using music to protect the grid of light that surrounds the world, keeping out dark spirits and without any spoilers. The light grid is the most protected when the truth is accepted and faced head on and healed through together, instead of avoided and buried in shame. And isn't that what we're dealing with in the real world? Seriously, watch the movie. It's been on repeat over here since it came out and there's an added invitation in there too to join the collective energetic movement it's been created by this movie and the shared experience. It's humans all over the world in real time connecting over the same thing and strengthening the light grid of the world by having a shared experience and accidentally learning a thing or two about energy at the same time and, as you can see, my spirit team likes to communicate with me using pop culture and media pretty frequently and it makes my classes pretty fun, if I say so myself.
Speaker 1:This is going to be a short one because your girl's tired, these kids are home, it's summer, but before we wrap up, I'm going to answer a couple of questions that were submitted on social. So the first one is how do I know if it's intuition or anxiety? And that is probably the top question I get all the time. First of all, it's been a process to figure out which is which, and I think the best way to answer that right now, in this moment, is going back to my toilet paper story. I didn't get a whole narrative or a rigmarole about what if I don't have any toilet paper, and, oh my gosh, it's going to be like this, and then the bus is going to look like that, and then this is going to happen. It wasn't a whole story, it wasn't an entire flush of drama. It was just simple and specific and it made no sense, which is also a clue for me. Put some toilet paper in your pocket. I'm sorry what? Put some toilet paper in your pocket. It's the same. I asked for it again. The same transmission came through. It was very specific, it was very simple and it was no drama.
Speaker 1:The way that I explain it in class is like the same level of drama as me saying my name. My name is Sylvia. Yes, that is true. I have zero feelings attached to that. The sky is blue. Yes, that is true. Zero feelings, no drama, super simple.
Speaker 1:Now, if it was like oh, it looks like it's going to rain. Oh, my gosh, is it thunder? Do I need to bring an umbrella? I might have to bring an umbrella. Should I even take the car? Should I take the other car? Am I going to get in an accident? Could be a really big accident. That's anxiety. If there was a little message about an accident, then it could be a delay in finding your keys in the morning, or you know what I actually have.
Speaker 1:This is a little advanced, but I got the hit that my husband was going to be in an accident on his way home from a really late job one time this is probably within the last year and in that moment I had a very stern talking to with my guides. I said absolutely not. He's going to come home safe with my guides? I said absolutely not. He's going to come home safe and that's it. I opt out of that timeline where anything happens to him. So he's going to come home safe and that's it.
Speaker 1:And it was like I packed it up and I gave it back and I released any kind of drama or attachment to the situation. I was in complete surrender, complete trust, and I just went on with my day. And that night he got home really late, to the point where I was surprised Like I was asleep when he walked in and I was surprised that he was home and I was also grateful because I knew oh okay, this is the one where he comes home. Isn't that a wild thought to pop in your head? But it was again completely peaceful. There was no drama attached at any part of this. So I went back to sleep, I didn't think anything of it and then the next morning he pulled me aside and he let me know that he did actually get in an accident on his way home and nobody was hurt, luckily. You know, his car was scratched up a little bit, but it was the most mild version of that situation and he made it home.
Speaker 1:So I think the information that comes in is very specific. It makes no sense. Sometimes it has no drama attached to it and sometimes you can still opt out. But that's a little bit more advanced, and I mean, if it happens enough times, to where you can, to where you understand what it feels like when it is true and verified down the line, versus when it's anxiety and your brain just running away with everything. You get to a point where you understand the difference. Get to a point where you understand the difference and that comes back to trust for me, and a healthy sense of trust is built with consistency over time. I always referred people to Brene Brown's talk on the anatomy of trust. Look it up, it's on YouTube. It's brilliant.
Speaker 1:Your relationship to yourself and the relationship to your spirit team and your relationship to the universe is absolutely the same. I'm not asking you to trust anything that I say. I want you to verify it for yourself over time with consistency. I'm not asking you to trust anything that I say about the universe. I want you to test it and have your own experience because I could tell you all kinds of things.
Speaker 1:People give their power away so quickly and I'm already going off on a tangent. People give their power away so quickly to psychics and mediums and people, intuitives, that they go see should I call him back? Should I take this job? Should I move out? You know whatever. How about see what feels good for you? Because that psychic doesn't have to go home and live your life. That psychic moves on with their day. It's you who gets to live your life and live with the consequences of whatever those choices are.
Speaker 1:So all of this to say intuition, spirit hits very specific, drama-free, very simple truth. And anxiety is a story drama-filled, it's like a runaway train. And let me just be clear. I know intrusive thoughts. I had postpartum depression and anxiety. Those were so scary and terrifying and like 99.999% of those things never happened, but they were still terrifying and awful. But I knew the difference, luckily, thank God. But yeah, that doesn't make it any easier, but I can tell you, yes, there is an absolute difference between intuition and anxiety. Hope this helps.
Speaker 1:The next question I'm going to answer one more. It says I've tried to meditate, journal and pull cards, but I still feel disconnected. What am I missing? Ooh, yeah, been there. I lovingly call that being benched, and there's quite a few different reasons that I've seen for this. Um, speaking for myself. Uh, when, oh hi, bringing in my ear. Thank you for the confirmation.
Speaker 1:When the 3D world demands your attention and you absolutely cannot handle anything else, nervous system regulation is probably the next thing on the menu. The spirit world is not going to come in and give you more of anything. The way that I break it down in Lighthouse is basically like water. There's different layers of consciousness and usually humans operate on the surface and there's so much happening beneath the surface that we're not aware of. But it's still there. We're just taking it for granted. Oh, the water is moving and it's so hard to see clearly until we get very still and we're able to be with and go deeper into the many layers of water. So I'm talking about the subconscious and superconscious brain. I'm talking about the subconscious and superconscious brain. I'm talking about nervous system regulation. I'm talking about when we actually have action, steps, important things and priorities to take care of in our 3D life. Maybe it's taxes, maybe it's making dinner for your kids. Serve you to be so focused on the feedback that you're getting from the energetic tools if you're not brushing your teeth and not nourishing your body and not taking care of your responsibilities. That is a cocktail of reasons why you're feeling disconnected.
Speaker 1:In 2019, I studied with Lisa Williams, who's an amazing psychic medium that I'd followed for probably about a decade and a half before that. But I became close with my other students in that cohort and I was so fried in 2020. I had just had a newborn in February, right before lockdown. Ava was four, she was barely turning five, she was still in preschool. I mean, I was in the trenches and I could not get any kind of clarity. I wasn't sleeping, I wasn't eating right, just the world was scared, it was a lot and no matter what, I could not access any guidance. It was like static and it was so frustrating and disorienting. But really what I needed was 3D, it was sleep, it was somebody else to like mother the mother, you know, um and Adam was working and my mom was working and I had a newborn at home. I couldn't. I didn't have all of the supports that I had put into place beforehand, because it was COVID, it was locked down, it was just not available. So what I really needed was the 3D needs that were not being met.
Speaker 1:So usually when we're benched, it really has to do with either either we're so fried and we need to take care of ourselves better, or there's something that gotten it to see. You know, are we really in coherence with what we say? We believe in what we say, that we're here to do? Yeah, I would say those are my top three reasons for being benched lovingly benched, and if you are currently in that, I feel you and if you can find some space to get quiet and nurture your own connection, to find your own answers and take one action step, even just one action step, will get you closer to a different vantage point, so that you can hear or see a little bit more or a little bit differently once you take that action step, the idea is not to get lost in the inaction and overthinking and just take one next step and that will absolutely get some energy moving again. Okay, there you go. I think that was good. So thank you for everybody who submitted your questions. I really appreciate that.
Speaker 1:I love talking about this stuff. As you know, I have a whole podcast. Oh, 2.22 AM Love that. For me it's my magic number and also it's time for bed. So, anyway, I will be answering more questions in the next solo episode and it's time to say goodnight, but I want to leave you with this Maybe 2025 is your moment, maybe this is your cue to trust those tingles, to build that trust muscle, to follow that buzzy feeling, to put the metaphorical toilet paper in your back pocket, even if it makes zero sense.
Speaker 1:If you're here, you're here for a reason and you're so needed. And we might not have all the answers, but we do have each other and we have the knowing that this is not the time to shrink. So if you get tired, rest, ask for help, get in community, and if you need some support working out that trust muscle, I can be your personal trainer for that side of you. You have it and if you're listening, it sounds like they're calling and I'm here to help. So in the next couple weeks I'm going to be releasing more details about Lighthouse. It's coming, I'm I'm getting it ready. It's amazing, it's so good, I'm so excited. But stay tuned. If you want to know all the information as soon as possible, get on that priority list. The link is in my bio and I'll see you in the next episode. Until then, stay weird, stay human, and I am going to bed. Good night.
